Hines Awarded CEEQA RealGreen Investor of the Year.

Hines, the international real estate firm, was awarded „RealGreen Investor of the Year” at this year’s Central & Eastern European Real Estate Quality Awards (CEEQA) RealGreen Awards. The winners were announced on 15 March at the MIPIM trade fair, Cannes.

CEEQA RealGreen awards are presented to central and eastern European companies and projects for their outstanding commitment to green building. The jury honored Hines mostly for the work of its HPSIF (Hines Poland Sustainable Income Fund), whose strategy is based on increasing the value of acquired assets by improving their energy efficiency and reducing emissions, for instance through active management and innovative technological solutions.

„Sustainable management and care for environment are at the heart of Hines’s activities worldwide. We plan to further strengthen our leading position in introducing green solution, and we’re excited to see that the practices we implement in Poland have gained international recognition,” said Mieczysław Godzisz, Hines senior managing director.

The HPSIF portfolio includes Nestlé House in Warsaw. Acquired by Hines in 2015, it is a modern, cutting-edge asset, where double skin façade along with energy efficient systems decrease primary energy consumption. Furthermore, Hines gives special attention to tenants, in efforts to educate them and raise their environmental awareness.

The jury also appreciated green practices implemented by Hines Polska in the management of the New City Complex in Warsaw, consisting of two buildings and more than 40,000 square metres. It achieved double BREEAM Excellent rating in the Asset and Building Management categories. The New City complex was distinguished for effective plans for utility savings, as well as promoting alternate transportation including the country’s first dedicated platform for an office building for managing car-sharing rides.
